To ensure a smooth event, please adhere to the following guidelines:
- Follow all the channels listed in the schedule (minimum: the channel that is immediately after your stream).
- Set up your streaming software to include some of the graphics in the toolbox.
- Use the #streamathon or #streamers Discord channel (https://dcstreamathon.org/discord) to ask for tech support or any other help.
- Know your scheduled time(s) and don’t be late.
- Start your stream and join the Twitch Stream Together call at least five minutes prior to your scheduled start time.
- Promote the charity URL multiple times during your stream. (https://dcstreamathon.org/donate) – Familiarize yourself with Extra Life’s best practices here.
- Celebrate the New Year as it happens across the world. Track time zones here.
- At the end of your stream, raid the channel that is immediately after yours. Example: If you are followed by Ritual Misery, type into your Twitch chat /raid ritualmisery. Try to raid the next channel at exactly their scheduled start time. Be sure to announce your presence with a raid call so they know that the audience is now watching them. Read more about raids.
